Electronic Arts and DICE confirmed Mirror's Edge 2 yesterday at the E3 2013 press conference, revealing that the new title is actually a reboot called simply Mirror's Edge.

It brings a new origin story for protagonist Faith, and now the first actual details have appeared, alongside screenshots of the new experience. Mirror's Edge delighted many gamers back in 2009, although the game was never really a success in terms of sales.

Now, in between working on the Frostbite 3 engine and on the Battlefield 4 shooter, DICE confirmed that it's also going to debut reboot of the series called simply Mirror's Edge.

The new game, according to EA, reimagines the franchise and gives a new origins story to protagonist Faith.

Unfortunately, no other details were given, but the two companies revealed that Mirror's Edge would appear on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
