Miro 4.0.4, a multimedia platform that can be utilized to view, convert, transfer and even download videos, has been announced.

Developed by Participatory Culture Foundation, Miro 4.0.4 only brings one update, and that is support for Kindle Fire, the new budget tablet from Amazon.

The success of Amazon Kindle Fire made the Miro developers extend the support for this particular hardware. They also provide a comprehensive and simple guide on how to use this new feature.

The procedure goes as follows: connect the Kindle Fire to the computer and it will automatically appear in the “Connect” tab of Miro. Just drag the video to Kindle Fire, in the Miro sidebar, and it will get resized and converted to the proper size.

On a side note, videos that are not purchased from Amazon will appear in a different category, in “Gallery”.

Download Miro 4.0.4 right now from Softpedia.
