The e-reader market just got a lot more vibrant, Butterflies helped

We wrote yesterday about the new Kyobo e-reader, but people may have missed it or skipped over it because they didn't know just how big a player it could turn into.

This is the world's first Android device to use the Mirasol display, which captures ambient light and uses it to create color the same way butterfly wings get their iridescence.

That's right, this is a super-efficient, color screen that just might push e-readers to the next level.

Not only does it handle all sorts of books, color or otherwise, but it can play video as well and, sure enough, the e-reader itself has what it takes to play such files.

What's most interesting though is that the product can do all this and still last for weeks on a single charge (LCDs would totally ruin battery life, even with LED).
