Real-life couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were the big winners at last night’s Country Music Awards 2012, taking home the award for Song of the Year for  their “Over You.”

The video above is of them accepting the award, but I must warn you, chances are you’ll be happy to have some hankies lying around.

The song is dedicated to Blake’s late brother and was written at his father’s advice, Blake said.

Miranda, on the other hand, was crying so hard she did not say a peep.

“I lost my brother in a car wreck when I was 14 years old and later in life when I decided I wanted to be a country singer my dad always told me, ‘Son, you should write a song about your brother’,” Blake said.

“I lost my dad in January and it's so amazing to me that tonight even after he's gone, he's still right. I just needed the right person to write this song with and the right person to sing it. I love you so much,” the singer added.

He also thanked his gorgeous wife for being just the right person to write this song with. As I said, it was an extremely emotional moment.
