Victoria’s Secret Angel says secret is in eating healthy

Australian model Miranda Kerr, most famous for her work as an Angel for Victoria’s Secret, her involvement with numerous charity organizations and, of course, her relationship with Hollywood heartthrob Orlando Bloom, is in top shape, to point out the obvious. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the brand’s swim catalog, Kerr talked a bit with E! Online about her secret to looking this great.

Miranda’s workout and diet are already known to her fans, since her personal trainer, Justin Gelband, who also works with the other Angels as well, was kind enough to talk about them a while back. This time, Miranda too stresses that the most important aspect when tackling the problem of losing weight or maintaining it is focusing on health. Otherwise, sustainable weight loss is not possible.

Amazing as it might sound, Miranda Kerr does not diet and doesn’t believe in fad diets either. Instead, she makes sure she eats foods that keep her energy levels up without making her pile on the pounds. “The first step is eating healthy. I predominantly eat organic when I can. I eat extremely healthy because when I do, I have more energy, [like] spinach, avocado, lots of greens and broccoli. I’m pretty much 80 percent healthy, 20 percent indulgent, because I don’t believe in depriving yourself,” she says.

Because she doesn’t want to deprive herself, she occasionally indulges in her favorite guilty food, which is French fries, even though she knows she has to put in a few extra minutes at the gym for it. “As for her workout routine, she does yoga, Pilates and low-esistance weight training. ‘I also like to go on the stepping machine if I’m [at] a hotel and I can’t get outside,’ she added,” E! Online writes after talking to Miranda.

In October last year, Miranda Kerr came under fire with the tabloid media after a series of pictures on a photoshoot ended up online. Taken from very low angles and because of her posture, the Aussie stunner seemed incredibly thin, which prompted talk of an eating disorder. Miranda duly refuted all the claims.
