Reebok has teamed up with Cirque du Soleil and has created a new type of workout that is meant to return the most fantastic results, while, at the same time, making exercise fun again for women of all ages. To make the new workout even more tempting, it even got model Miranda Kerr to join the program and do some promotional
work in New York City.
Jukari is already available at Equinox gyms in 14 cities in the US, but, given the kind of media attention
Kerr’s appearance at Reebok’s NYC Jukari Pop Up event at Skyline Studios this Monday received, chances are it will also become available abroad sometime soon. The new type of workout is designed in such a way as to be incredibly fun and very efficient at the same time, as also noted above.
Reebok says of the new type of exercise that it’s “a workout that gives the sensation of flying while strengthening and lengthening the body through cardio, strength, balance and core training.” However, Jukari is also meant to be fun and bring about a much-welcome change to plain working out, therefore it targets all those women who have come to consider their exercise routine more of a chore. Because it uses swings and moves that require plenty of balance, Jukari is also perfect to strengthen and beautifully tone the arms.
Early reviews of the workout are encouraging, which means it’s very likely it will catch on pretty fast. Although many women are quick to snub it as yet another celebrity-endorsed fad, those who’ve tried it stand by it, saying it’s energetic enough to be very efficient, while also just as much fun as Reebok and the creative directors of Cirque du Soleil promise it is.
“To say I was cynical before trying a sneak-preview workout would be an understatement. However, it was far tougher than I expected. A downside was the motion sickness I felt when spinning at top speed on my trapeze, but I could live with that if my aching muscles were an indication of its toning effect. Swing by if it comes to your gym.” a review on
