The White iPhone 4 will finally see the light of day, but all this wouldn’t be possible had it not been for a Japanese company that reportedly developed a “miracle painting material” whose thickness can be controlled prior to being applied on the handset.

Japanese blog Macotakara reports that Apple is on track to launch its elusive iPhone 4, citing a source that said “printing white color for iPhone 4 brings poor yield and then huge number of defective products.”

However, “a Japanese company developed miracle painting material which is able to be set thickness of painting layer,” effectively solving Apple’s problem.

It is not specified when Apple actually contracted the makers of this magical paint, nor is it clear how the thickness of this paint material makes yields better.

Either way, the iPhone 4 seems to be on track for its Spring 2011 release, according to the Japanese blog.

Apple has delayed the launch of its white iPhone 4 three times since the controversial handset was introduced in the summer of 2010.

In June 2010, the company cited manufacturing difficulties as the main reason of the delay.

The company continued to sell the black version as planned, promising to launch the white model shortly.

Apple announced the following month that iPhone 4 White was still not ready for shipping.

Then, in October 2010, the Cupertino giant revealed that the white version of the iPhone 4 would not arrive until spring 2011, marking the phone’s third official delay.

Also noteworthy, UK operators Orange and Three have recently updated their websites to suggest that Apple is gearing up to ship the white version of its iPhone 4.

The two carriers are now offering customers the ability to choose between the two iPhone models, with various options for storage capacity, and a wireless plan.

The news comes shortly after Best Buy and Vodafone Germany started showing the white iPhone 4 in their internal systems, followed by AT&T.
