It looks like Mionix was right on time with its intended, official announcement, complete with video demonstration, of a certain mechanical keyboard that it has offered a sneak peek of last week.

Whenever an IT company says it is going to release a product at some point in the future, there is always the chance that delays or cancellations will occur.

With high-end products of the video, CPU and memory variety, one might say this is rather common in fact.

Fortunately, Mionix chose not to be late, fashionably or otherwise, in its delivery of the Zibal 60 keyboard, a peripheral revealed last week.

We actually spotted and covered it, but it looks like pre-orders can at last be set, although it will be months before shipments can actually commence.

Deliveries will start in June, but users can reserve one as long as they are willing to part with the sum of $149.99 (or 149.99 Euro in Europe).

The product is, basically, defined by the Black Cherry MX mechanical key switches, which boost tactile feedback for every stroke.

The whole point is for the device to act as a responsive and reliable partner for gamers and enthusiasts.

Besides that, there is a detachable wrist rest, as well as a multi-level green backlight system, plus a six-key rollover, meaning that up to six keys can be pressed at once.

The above are packed inside a 16mm-thick steel frame that measures 44.4 x 20.6 x 4.4 cm and weighs 1.56 kilograms.

Other specifications include 18k gold-plated switch mounts, a 1.55 m braided USB (universal serial bus) cable and the Mionix Action key, which gives users immediate access to the illumination and media functions.

Finally, the keyboard has a pair of USB 2.0 ports built into it, along with headphone and microphone jacks, and can be seen in full detail here.
