Minox, the Germany based digital cameras manufacturer, is introducing their latest and greatest upgraded digicam. They're rolling the DC 1002, which is in fact a follow-on to the award-winning DC 8122. The DC 1002 sports a 10.1 Megapixel, 6 x zoom, up to 62 X digital zoom, 2.8 inch TFT display and 0.8-inch macro ability.

It's one of the smallest and lightest cameras in the 10 Megapixel market today, measuring just 93 x 57 25 mm and weighing about 150 grams. The DC 1003 features a CCD image sensor with a resolution of 10.1 million pixels and high-speed Autofocus Minoctar lens. Aperture and shutter speed may be selected individually, and in addition to this, you can choose different scene modes like portrait, sports, fireworks, animal photography or night-time. Other features include an automatic white balance that adapts to the individual light conditions in daylight or artificial light, anti-reflex coating for making the screen easy to read from different viewing angles and software-based image stabilization to give you less blured images even when zooming.

The camera sports the compulsory SD card slot for cards of up to 1GB as well as built-in memory of 32 MB. It can also record and playback videos in VGA resolution. For voice recordings, the DC1002 features a built-in microphone and a built-in speaker.

It also comes with a wrist strap, USB and video cable as well as a CD with software and user manual. It's available from Amazon for 469$ and it ships starting June1.
