The Pakistani hacker known as Hitcher has defaced a website belonging to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia. More precisely, he has defaced the Spatial and Geology Department domain operated by the ministry (sic.gov.ge).

“The hack is done to inform Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia that their domain and data is not in safe hands,” the hacker told me in an email.

“It’s just defaced to give them warning. I also sent mail to admin but he didn't take any action yet and this is an important government site which may cause some serious problems,” he added.

Hitcher sends the following message to the site’s administrators: “Admin, please patch up your site until it’s too late.”

The site was breached over the past weekend, but at the time this article was published, the defacement page was still present at sic.gov.ge/index.htm.
