LYNE, a minimalist puzzle game developed and published by Thomas Bowker, has been released on Steam for Linux.

The game is described by its maker as deceptively simple and infinitely complex. There are very few minimalist puzzle games on the Linux platform, and LYNE is probably one of the best ones available.

“Deceptively simple. Infinitely complex. LYNE is a minimalist puzzle game that will knot your brain as it calms your soul. Connect the shapes. Fill the board. Lose yourself in the interflowing paths of LYNE,” reads the announcement.

LYNE features hundreds of pre-built puzzles, it's capable of providing games with an infinite number of procedurally generated levels, has a very simple interface, a simple and interesting sound track, and unlockable color palettes.

The minimum system requirements are very accessible and most Steam for Linux users should be able to play the game: an Ubuntu system, a 2.00GHz Dual Core CPU, 1 GB of RAM, a 256MB Graphics Card, and 150 MB of available HDD space.

The game is available on multiple platforms, including Linux and benefits from a 33% discount that is scheduled to expire on March 24. More details about this minimalist puzzle game can be found on the official Steam website.
