It is made for fanless systems that still need some horsepower

Mini-ITX motherboards aren't as widespread as others, or at least not as often talked about, but some still kick up dust when they appear. Like the Acrosser AMB-D255T3 just did.

Now, with the lull in activity after IFA 2013 and IDF, such products are getting even more attention, since there aren't many other things to divert interest.

The Acrosser AMB-D255T3 is a mini-ITX motherboard with Intel's 1.86 GHz dual-core Atom Processor D2550.

One DDR3 slot allows up to 4 GB of RAM to back that chip up (SO-DIMM).

Other than that, the specs are suited towards system integrators that want both performance and fanless operation: VGA, HDMI, LVDS, KB/MS and PS/2 ports (one of each), COM and USB 2.0 ports (six of each), PCI and Mini PCIe slots (one each), and Gigabit Ethernet and SATA II ports (two of each).

I imagine that the Acrosser AMB-D255T3 will be used in industrial systems and maybe small office PCs.
