Mini-ITX motherboards without integrated or bundled CPUs still get released from time to time, but companies seem to be warming up to the idea of mainboard+CPU kits more and more.

Acrosser's AMB-D255T1 is the latest piece of evidence in support of this.

A mini-ITX motherboard with VGA, HDMI or LVDS video ports, it is equipped with the dual-core Atom D2550 CPU, whose clock speed is 1.86 GHz.

The product has six USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports and one of each of the following connectors: PS/2 KB/MS, Gigabit Ethernet and SATA.

Acrosser also tossed in a DDR3 SO-DIMM slot, a SATA port for HDDs/SSDs and a mini PCI Express slot.

HTPCs or client systems for businesses and point-of-sale applications are good venues for the newcomer. Sadly, the price is unknown.
