If you're the kind of person who really likes to own themed gadgets, then the Mini Clear Sound System is definitely the one for you. Designed with a very wacky idea in mind, this sound system is actually made from two glasses and a barrel, linked together by means of cable and looking pretty much like the real thing. Such a piece of audio gadgetry could indeed be most suitable for a nifty bar atmosphere, in the pub or even at home, if you can integrate it into your setting.

Boasting a rather small size and coming with a truly diminutive footprint, this peculiar sound system can find its place pretty much anywhere, whether we're talking about a mantle piece, table top or a proper bar.

Each of the glasses houses a small full-range 32mm driver with an inverted aluminium dome and can handle as much as 4 W; in fact, that's exactly how much the digital amplifier inside the barrel-shaped casing will provide, pretty much enough to have your fav beer music spread across the room. The vat on the barrel serves as a volume regulator so you can easily crank up the sound as you're getting boozed and feel like starting to party.

The speakers are firing straight up and thus have an omni-directional sonic dispersion, further amplifying the sensation of "big sound." Their translucent plastic "cabinetry" is lit by a LED making everything look almost eerie (but nevertheless cozy), especially in darker settings; too bad that the barrel-shaped amplifier's casing has not been crafted from a neat wood essence, for a more natural touch and definitely better looks.

The speakers run in 4 Ohm impedance and have a weight of 145 gr per piece. The price for the Mini Clear Sound System is a bit high: for $240 you can actually get your hands on a very nifty higher-class iPod docking system or other small-scale audio systems. Yet, if you're a true wine lover, it might be just the right price.
