Minecraft on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms will run at a native resolution of 1080p and a framerate of 60fps, according to one of its producers, which confirmed the performance figures.

Minecraft may have started life on the PC and quickly gained a cult-like following, but it has certainly flourished even more on consoles like the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Now, Minecraft console developer 4J Studios is working hard on bringing the experience onto more platforms, like the PS4, Xbox One, or PS Vita.

After hearing about its different features, such as save game transfer and bigger worlds, Minecraft Xbox One producer Roger Carpenter has revealed some of the performance figures of the new game.

Apparently, Minecraft on both the Xbox One and the PS4 will have a full HD native resolution of 1080p and a 60fps framerate.

No other details were given by Carpenter, but it seems that some fresh info is going to be relayed by developer 4J Studios in the near future, as we get closer to the debut of Minecraft on PS4, Xbox One, and PS Vita.

Until then, console fans should stick to the PS3 or Xbox 360 editions of the game for a little while longer.
