4J Studios, the developer of Minecraft for Xbox 360 and the studio behind the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of the game, has confirmed that all versions have the same underlying code and that the content will be at least the same one from the Xbox 360 Title Update 13.

Minecraft became a smash hit on the PC, as developer Mojang focused a lot on that version of the game, while tasking 4J Studios with bringing the title to the Xbox 360, on which it became quite successful as well.

Now, 4J is busy porting the game to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles.

While different improvements are planned for the game, the underlying code will be the same, according to a statement from the studio on Twitter.

Besides that, the actual content will be at least the one from Title Update 13 that appeared on the Xbox 360 some time ago. Future patches will be incorporated into the other two versions until their release.

4J didn't reveal any more details, so expect to hear some new things ahead of Minecraft's launch on the PS4 and Xbox One in November.
