A new round of sales figures for Minecraft has just appeared online, as creator Markus "Notch" Persson has revealed on Twitter that the game's PC edition has sold 13 million units worldwide, while the Xbox 360 edition has broken the 10 million units sold milestone.

Minecraft is a true phenomenon, amazing many gamers even from its early alpha stage many years ago. Since then, creator Markus Persson assembled Mojang to continue developing the PC version, and tasked other studios, like 4J, to adapt the game onto other platforms, like the Xbox 360.

These decisions proved to be quite successful, as the PC edition has now reached 13 million units sold, while the Xbox 360 edition sits at 10 million, according to statements from Persson on Twitter.

In honor of this achievement, all DLC packs on the Xbox 360, with the exception of the Mashup Packs, have received 50% discounts today, December 14.
