4J Studios has confirmed that the Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will appear today, June 4, in the US in retail stores.

Without a doubt, one of the biggest downloadable games ever to appear on the Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360 was Minecraft, reaching over 6 million console owners from around the world.

Now, Microsoft and developer 4J Studios want to reach even more console owners who don't have an Internet connection and can't download the game.

As a result, starting today, June 4, across the US, Minecraft for the Xbox 360 is available in retail stores.

This edition includes the base game, complete with all of its most recent updates, according to the 4J Twitter account.

For Xbox 360 owners outside the US, the retail version of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will be released later this month, on June 28.
