4J Studios, the developer of the console versions of Minecraft, has just confirmed that a new update is coming for the game across the PS4 and Xbox One platforms, bringing a pretty big series of fixes for different bugs and issues.

Minecraft first appeared a few years ago on PC, and soon after it reached a variety of other platforms, thanks to the partnership between creator Mojang and 4J Studios. The title is now present on many different devices, the latest of which being the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

After launching the game for those two platforms last month, 4J has confirmed on its forums that a new update is currently in the testing and certification phase at both Microsoft and Sony for the PS4 and Xbox One platforms.

The patch brings plenty of different fixes for issues reported by users, from rendering errors to framerate problems in jungles as well as erratic behavior of certain objects, blocks, and props.

The Xbox One version of Minecraft also has a bonus fix for an issue with the save game transfer from the Xbox 360 edition of the title. Another problem relating to gamer pictures that caused a game crash has also been resolved.

On the PS4, a different issue relating to the save game transfer not using the most recent data has been resolved, while the lily pad should no longer cause particle effect issues.

Both updates add a new option into Minecraft called "Copy Save" that allows players to back up their world to another save game file.
