Minecraft for the Xbox One will be able to import save game files and worlds from the Xbox 360 version of the game, according to developer 4J Studios who confirmed that the feature will arrive sooner or later.

Minecraft on the Xbox 360 is a huge hit with millions of console owners creating their own worlds and adventure in the special title.

Now, Minecraft will debut on the Xbox One next week when the actual console launches in 13 markets around the world.

In order to delight those who played the game on the Xbox 360 and want to buy it again for the Xbox One, developer 4J Studios has confirmed that it's working with Microsoft on a tool to import save games from the old console into the new one.

Unfortunately, the feature may not appear at launch next week but the studio revealed on Twitter that it will be deployed when it's complete.
