14 DAY TRIAL // Minecraft addicts who can't stop playing their favorite game while on the move will be thrilled to know that Mojang is readying a huge update that will arrive on all major mobile platforms: Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
We already knew about some of the new stuff included in this update, but Mojang listed the full changelog, so those who play Minecraft Pocket Edition know what to expect.
First of all, the next update will bring skins, which will change the appearance of Minecraft characters. According to Mojang, these skins are purely cosmetic and won't affect the way the game plays.
Skins cost money, but you can also get them for free
Although these skins cost money, there are ways to obtain them for free. Here are some of the options players are presented with if they want skins for free:
- Upload a skin from the internet. Use a search engine or Minecraft skin website to find one, then upload it to Minecraft: Pocket Edition. - Create your own skin using the fantastic Minecraft: Skin Studio or your favorite piece of image editing software. Then upload it to Pocket Edition. - Use one of the free skins available in game.
However, if you have nothing against paying for skins in Minecraft Pocket Edition, then you can get them in bundles of 20 for just $0.99 / €0.79 / £0.79.
Mojang also confirmed that they would also give away a few free skins when each pack releases, just like on console. There are a lot more changes included in this major update, so make your you check the full list below.
