Minecraft fans can now download patch 1.7.3 for the PC and Mac platforms in the form of a pre-release version, in order to enjoy instant Twitch gameplay broadcasting but also plenty of bug fixes and improvements.

Minecraft is getting ready to debut on a variety of platforms in the following months, from the PS4 to the Xbox One or PS Vita.

Even so, developer Mojang hasn't forgotten about the PC and has just released a brand new update for the game, in the form of patch 1.7.3.

While the actual update will debut early next week, the pre-release version is already available for download.

Besides many bug fixes and enhancements, the patch also brings instant gameplay broadcasting via the Twitch service.

Before the option can be used, players need to go to their Minecraft account on the official website and link their Twitch account. Afterwards, they can use the in-game setting to instantly start broadcasting their Minecraft adventures online.

Bear in mind that the option is available only on Windows (Vista and higher) and Mac OS X Lion (10.7) and higher, according to the official blog.
