Markus Persson, best known to gamers as Notch, has launched a new short video linked to its upcoming project 0x10c, which is designed to show potential players how the development of lighting and physics is shaping up.

The video game will focus on a spaceship inhabited by the player, with the main gameplay mechanic linked to energy management across key systems.

This will be done via a simulated 16 bit Central Processing Unit which gamers will be able to program, which means that he will be able to create and then execute their own programs in the game.

0x10c is in the early stages of development at the moment and Notch has made it clear that his initial vision for the game might change between this point and launch date.

0x10c will have an online mode which will allow players to collaborate and Persson wants to make it persistent, meaning that events can take place even when gamers are logged off.
