Mojang has coded up a patch for several bugs reported in the latest versions of Minecraft. Version 1.5.2 is out today, packing almost a dozen fixes.

Minecraft 1.5.2 for Mac OS X addresses an issue where the Jukebox audio volume doesn't decrease, as well as a bug where Anvils charge level for nothing when using languages other than English.

Tamed wolves and cats would despawn for some users, and Endermen were rendered hostile if they took environmental damage in previous versions of the game. All this is fixed now.

Other bug fixes include: “Pick-Block and Furnaces; Achievement ‘Hot Topic’ uses faceless furnace icon; arrows visually float when shot into a block; using the anvil for free; FPS issues when using high-resolution textures.”

Mojang notes that version 1.5.2 includes some Minecraft Realms-related fixes.
