Country singer Mindy McCready has been released yesterday from the hospital, four days after a suicide attempt. McCready was found unconscious Friday, in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Harborside in Indian Rocks Beach, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
McCready's fiancée, William McKnight told police the singer had taken large amounts of pills, consumed a lot of alcohol and left a four-page suicide note. According to the police report, McKnight said he "had been having some relationship problems" with McCready
"No criminal charges are anticipated against McCready or McKnight, and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be taking no further action in this matter," said a press release on the Web site of the sheriff's office.
Earlier this year, McKnight, 39, had been charged with attempted homicide and burglary on Mindy, 28. The couple broke up about two weeks before the attack, at McCready's home in Nashville.
Mindy testified in May that William punched her in the face choked her during a jealously crisis.
