Miley Cyrus didn’t exactly have it easy in the press these past few months but, as it turns out, those who really love her still support her no matter what. She hosted this week’s Saturday Night Live and the ratings prove she’s as big of a hit as Tina Fey.

Tina returned to SNL last week, for the premiere of the 39th season. That episode was the most watched premiere episode in 3 years, The Wrap informs.

Miley also did great, all things considered.

“The show pulled in a 4.5/13 in rating in metered-market households from midnight-1:30 a.m., even with a football-delayed start, and scored a 2.7/14 in adults 18-49 in the Local People Meters,” the e-zine says.

“The 2.7 ties both last week’s season premiere (with host Tina Fey and musical guest Arcade Fire) and the show’s May 18 season finale (with host Ben Affleck and musical guest Kanye West),” adds the report.

On the show, Miley made fun of the controversy around her MTV VMAs performance, joked about twerking and her recent and rather unexpected image change, and performed live.
