Breakup ballad that didn’t make the cut on “Bangerz” album ends up online

If you thought Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” ballad, which was supposedly written and recorded at a time when she was trying to come to terms with the fact that her romance with Liam Hemsworth was beyond saving, was sad, an even sadder one has emerged online.

It’s called “Last Goodbye” and it is believed to have been recorded at about the same time. It did not make the cut on Miley’s “Bangerz” album, presumably because her record deemed one breakup ballad enough.

However, fans can now listen to it in full, after it leaked online. You will find it embedded below.

On it, Miley sings about how the time to say goodbye has come and the sense of failure and disappointment that comes with it.

“We never said that we would be perfect/ We only said that we tried/ And when you said that we were forever/ I guess that's just another lie,” she sings. She seems to be blaming the guy for what went wrong, and word online has it that the guy is none other than ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

There are some rumors that the song is not about Liam but about Miley’s dead dog, Floyd, which passed away last April. However, this can’t be because, at the time she was recording tracks for “Bangerz,” Floyd hadn’t gone yet to that big farm in the sky. So it could only be about Liam.

Check out “The Last Goodbye” below and see if yourself if this song seems to be about Liam or about Floyd the dog.
