Miley Cyrus got engaged to Liam Hemsworth a few days ago and might, for all we know, be preparing for the wedding. That's not all she's doing these days, though: a new report says she's also working on a new album, which will be more “adult” and confident than all her previous releases.

Fans will remember that Miley's album before this one was “Can't Be Tamed,” which tried hard to break with her Disney image but only managed, in more or less words, to alienate many fans.

It was commercially and critically underwhelming and, as such, Miley needs to come back on the scene with a bang.

This is precisely what she aims to do, E! News reports.

The newly engaged star is busily working on the new album, with plans for it to drop in stores before the wedding. In other words, keep an eye out for it soon.

“A source tells E! News that the engaged star has been quietly working on her next studio album, which is going to be 'very adult and [hot] and believable',” the celebrity e-zine writes.

“The insider adds that the album will 'one hundred percent' come out before she and Liam Hemsworth say 'I do',” the same report argues.

The two are yet to announce a wedding date and they're certainly not dropping any hints as to when it will take place. Still, insiders claim they have no intention of making this a long engagement.

“An insider says Cyrus is 'having fun making music' for 'the first time in her career',” E! News writes.

This next album will finally show fans a Miley they could only glimpse before, the real deal.

“'We are watching a young girl turn into a young woman,' adds the source. Cyrus is working with various record producers, including Pharrell Williams in Miami and L.A.-based Hit-Boy, who has produced for the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z and Eminem,” the same media outlet says.

Bruce Flohr of Red Light Management is also in the studio with Miley, helping her forge a new sound, one that is being referred to as “Miley 2.0,” E! adds.
