Regarding the Miley-Radiohead “feud”

The minor feud that broke in March, when Radiohead reportedly “dissed” Disney star Miley Cyrus by not wanting to hang out with her after the Grammys has just been taken to a whole new level. While Radiohead’s Thom Yorke kept it civil when he heard the young star had threatened to put them out of business, actor and singer Jamie Foxx was not even remotely as careful in his choice of words regarding Miley, as The Huffington Post informs.

Jamie Foxx has a weekend Sirius radio show, “The Foxxhole,” and it was live on air that he chose to express his true feelings for the Disney star in very graphic and insulting terms. As the topic of the “feud” came up, the actor could be heard first asking who Miley was in the first place, only to have an unnamed woman telling him that she was that “white [expletive].” The moment Foxx learned the identity of the youngster who offended Radiohead (“the one with the gums?” Foxx said), he launched on a verbal tirade against Miley in terms that can hardly be put in writing here or anywhere else for that matter.

“Jamie Foxx had some not-so-nice words for Miley Cyrus during his weekend Sirius radio show ‘The Foxxhole,’ judging by an audio posted on YouTube. During a discussion criticizing Miley, 16, for being upset at not getting to meet Radiohead backstage at the Grammys, Foxx, 41, told her to get a gum transplant and to ‘grow up... Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin... get some crack in your pipe... Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat.” the aforementioned publication writes of the actor’s on-air outburst. The entire tirade was, as noted above, posted on YouTube.

The feud first started when Miley told Ryan Seacrest about wanting to meet Radiohead after the Grammys. Admittedly, this was one of her favorite bands and the reason she started in the music industry in the first place, and she was understandably heartbroken when Radiohead’s manager told her that “The band doesn’t really do that.” “I left ‘cause I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch. Stinkin’ Radiohead! I’m gonna ruin them, I’m going to tell everyone.” the singer further said.

When Thom Yorke of Radiohead learned of Miley’s “threats” (as vague as they might have been), he issued a brief statement saying only, “When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement.” Since then, nothing was heard of the so-called feud – until Foxx’s public rant, as it’s been described by several media outlets.
