14 DAY TRIAL // It's becoming painfully obvious that former BFFs Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez have become increasingly hostile towards each other in the last year. There was a lot of love lost between them, and media speculated that it had a lot to do with Justin Bieber, who was reportedly disputed between the two of them.
Miley has been taking quite a few jabs at Selena lately, and the trouble is she's been doing it publicly, making sure that the world sees and understands just how much she hates Selena. Her latest diss came in the form of a tweet in which she referred to her recent loss at the MuchMusic Video Awards in the “Favorite International Artist or Group” to Selena Gomez.
The tweet read, “wigged woting wis wack wust waying,” which basically translates to “rigged voting is whack just saying,” but Miley didn't want to come out right and say it and she decided to spell it in baby talk or something similar in which every word of the sentence begins with the same letter.
Clearly, Miley Cyrus was so annoyed at the fact that she lost, and to Selena no less, that she decided to vent her frustration on social media and thus risk showing the world that she was a sore loser. The MuchMusic Video Awards aren't a very important event in the awards calendar, nor do they hold that much weight in the musical industry, but for Miley this slap in the face still stung.
The tweet comes fresh after last week the “Wrecking Ball” singer took the stage in Milan, Italy, to sing her new hit “FU” (an acronym that needs no explanation) while holding in her hand a cardboard cutout with Selena Gomez's face on it, making a poor version of a voodoo doll or sorts.
Reports indicated that Selena caught wind of Miley's on-stage antics and was not happy to learn that she was the object of ridicule for her fans. But she decided to be the better person and not hit back, hoping that all of this will go away.
Miley, however, is of a different opinion, and she's continuing her smear campaign in varying degrees of subtlety, until, presumably, Selena will work up the guts to stand up to the twerking singer and hit back. At which point we'll have a full-on feud on our hands.
Selena was rumored to have paired up with several other girls from their Disney club and plotted to sabotage Miley's career. The group included Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato, all former BFFs for Miley, that have now turned sour and now planned to freeze her out from their merry little band.
