14 DAY TRIAL // When the cover for W Magazine leaked a couple of days ago, people found it hard to recognize the former Disney princess Miley Cyrus. In a seductive position, the singer had nothing on except rings and bracelets, while she appeared hugging a large pillow to cover her privates.
Today, the entire spread has made its way online and Miley seems bent on shocking us at every appearance. The controversial shoot sees a black and white Cyrus take on seductive poses, while not afraid to expose her chest, albeit in an artsy way.
Looking significantly older and weirdly reminiscent of Madonna in her glory days, Miley poses with platinum blond shoulder length hair that's been generously sprayed with water to give it that wet look.
One photo shows her in a black leather jacket, zipped down to expose parts of her chest, while the “Wrecking Ball” singer seductively bites one corner of her lower lip. The other photos play on the same style.
There is also an accompanying article called “Oh My Miley!,” where “America's baddest girl” speaks to journalist Ronan Farrow about her recent change of image, her opinion on kids, on style and being original.
Miley doesn't hold back on the profanities when giving the article, but she does make a clear point: “I just don’t get what half the girls are wearing. Everyone to me seems like Vanna White. I’m trying to tell girls, like, ‘[expletive] that. You don’t have to wear makeup. You don’t have to have long blonde hair and big [expletive]. That’s not what it’s about. It’s, like, personal style,’” the singer confesses.
Cyrus also seemed eager to shed her Disney image, “I’m not Disney, where they have, like, an Asian girl, a black girl, and a white girl, to be politically correct, and, like, everyone has bright colored T-shirts. You know, it’s like, I’m not making any kind of statement. Anyone that hates on you is below you, because they’re just jealous of what you have.”
You can call Miley many things but it looks as though “controversial” should be her middle name.
