Miley Cyrus is fuming mad at father Billy Ray for recent GQ interview, says report

Earlier this week, GQ ran an interview in which Billy Ray Cyrus, the father of “Hannah Montana” star Miley, ripped into Disney for making the show, ruining his life and now ruining his daughter. Miley, of course, is not happy about it.

The GQ piece, based on an interview taken in December, marks the first time that Billy Ray openly speaks against Disney, the network that made it possible for Miley to have the career (and the money) she has now.

In fact, the entire family stood to profit from “Hannah Montana,” so to have Billy Ray now biting the hand that fed him is unpardonable, Miley believes, as unnamed friends tell PopEater.

Plus, Billy Ray had no right to speak of her personal life in a magazine interview, not when he hasn’t actually spoken to her since before the GQ interview.

“To say Miley is angry is an understatement. She’s furious that her own flesh and blood would make a private matter so public. Who does he think he is, Michael Lohan?” Miley’s friend reveals for the e-zine.

Indeed, as we also noted at the time, Billy Ray holds nothing back in his GQ interview, even saying at one point that he’s “scared” for Miley because she’s surrounded only by the wrong kind of people and that he fears she will be the next Kurt Cobain, Anna Nicole Smith or Michael Jackson.

He even calls her a “trainwreck,” which no father should do – neither in public, nor in private.

“This isn’t what a father does. He never said a bad word about ‘Hannah Montana’ all those years it made millions for the family, and now that Miley has turned 18 and is making her own decisions, he does this. Unforgivable,” the same friend dishes.

What makes matters only worse is that Billy hasn’t spoken to Miley in months and it’s been his choice not to have any contact.

“Miley has told him that if he wants to talk with her he has her number. It’s been the same number she always has had,” says the spy.
