14 DAY TRIAL // Miley Cyrus may be annoying half of the world’s population with her recent antics and her twerking but, in the end, it seems to be paying off because she’s working now with one of the most critically acclaimed artists of the moment, Kanye West.
A new report in The Huffington Post claims that, after her much derided MTV VMAs 2013 performance, Miley Cyrus skipped the afterparties and went right back to work.
Considering she’s recording a remix to Kanye’s “Black Skinhead,” it makes sense to leave the partying for some other night. At least she has her priorities straight.
However, assuming the report is accurate, the collaboration will probably only come to add fuel to the fire.
“Including Cyrus on a supposed remix would add a new layer to the ongoing debate about Cyrus' own use of black culture and comes on the heels of her VMAs performance, which has been characterized as a grotesque minstrel show that again featured black women as props for 20-year-old Cyrus' transformation from Disney starlet to molly lobbyist,” The Huffington Post writes.
