Miley Cyrus loves tattoos. She loves them so much she already has 9 of them, of various sizes, scattered all over her body. However, she loves her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth even more, which is why she's agreed to have them removed.
The latest print issue of the Enquirer (story via
here) claims that Liam has been pressuring Miley into having all her body art removed for the simple reason that he believes tattoos to be “trashy.”
He even gave her an ultimatum of the “either them or me” type, with Miley choosing the latter.
The pop singer has already started seeing someone about having the tattoos lasered off.
“Liam is much more straitlaced than Miley, and he hates the trashy look she sometimes favors. They’ve had some heated fights over her body ink. He says it will permanently typecast her as a bad girl,” an insider is quoted as saying.
Admittedly, Liam used the supreme argument with Miley, presumably before the ultimatum: she should think of herself as a mother and the kind of message she'll be sending her kids with so many tattoos.
“If they start a family together, he doesn’t want the mother of his children sending the message that it’s OK to desecrate your body,” the insider says.
Liam's cup overflowed when Miley got
an equality tattoo on her ring finger back in August 2011. It was her ninth.
Miley was pleased with it, but Liam was anything but. “I hate it. Get rid of them all!” he reportedly told her when he saw it.
“On Nov. 22, the day before her 19th birthday, Miley was spotted visiting an office that specializes in laser tattoo removal and has begun the process of having the ink removed, said the source,” the Enquirer writes.
Having the tattoos removed is more painful than having them done, but Miley is ready to go through it because she is convinced that this will
keep Liam “happy.”
