Miley Cyrus has had it with the rumors: in a brand new 10-minute video, the singer tackles the most recent and controversial things written about her in the media, and addresses her fans to assure them that she remains the same girl they fell in love with in the beginning.

In recent weeks, much has been said and written about the Disney singer and actress, including that she’s planning on getting married, undergoing plastic surgery on her breasts and that she got in trouble with the police.

She addresses all these rumors in the recent video, while also using the opportunity to introduce the latest addition to her family: a dog named Feather.

In the same video, which you can see embedded at the end of the article, Miley also sets out to assure fans that she’s not about to become this pop star that they don’t know, saying she remains the same girl as ever.

“No, I’m not engaged, and no, I’m not getting married anytime soon. I still live at home… no one’s here with us, just my family,” Miley says of rumors that she want to get married.

“First of all, I’m 17. Ridiculous… I have so much work I wanna get done, there’s so much I want to do… there’s just no way,” she adds, barely containing her laughter.

As for reports that she was busted by police for talking on her cell phone while driving, and was then escorted home, Miley says that was the paparazzi’s fault.

In fact, she stresses, she did not get in any kind of trouble because it was her who called the police because the photographers were making it hard for her to drive, so she asked for help.

“I called the cops to get away from the paparazzi, and then they paparazzi’d that, so really, I just can’t win. I think there’s some people that really like that attention, but I’m not one of them,” she says of the unwanted attention she gets on a daily basis.

“The paparazzi really frustrate me. It makes me really upset. I’m being followed around by men I don’t know. I don’t know who those guys are… they could be good guys or bad guys… doesn’t seem like the safest thing,” the star points out.

Miley ends her message by directly addressing her fans, since getting in touch with them again was the purpose behind it from the start.

“I know that things are said about me that are completely false. I’m still the same person, I’m just living life and going through what everyone else has to go through. I’m just figuring out who I am… I’m just like y’all,” she says.
