Disney star, singer and actress Miley Cyrus has discovered a new way of expressing herself artistically: through body art. Miley was recently in Brazil on tour and she celebrated the occasion by getting a new tattoo, her sixth to date. Only a couple of days after she grabbed headlines after pictures of her and her mom at the beach, in which their tattoos were clearly visible, were made public, Miley got herself inked again.
Word online has it that she decided to get the new tattoo to always remember her time in Brazil, though no one seems to know for certain what the design represents.
“Teen phenom Miley Cyrus commemorated her trip to Brazil by getting some wrist ink the other day. So far, we haven’t seen a pic of the design Miley had inked on to her body,”
TMZ says.
Photos show Miley with the tattoo artist just as she’s about to get inked, but they only show the place on her wrist where the piece goes – one doesn’t even get a glimpse of it.
Knowing Miley, she will probably post a picture of the new piece on Twitter or speak about it in an upcoming interview. Undoubtedly, someone will ask her about it, because her fans will want to know.
The same happened some time ago, when Miley was photographed at the pool with a tattoo on her ribcage that no one knew about.
It read “Just Breathe” and its meaning was initially lost on fans and the media, so Miley herself
explained it in a 2010 interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
It was made in her mother’s handwriting and it is meant to remind her of never taking things for granted in life, after seeing her best friend die of cystic fibrosis and her grandfathers of lung cancer.
“It reminds me not to take things for granted, I mean, breathing – that was something none of them could do, the most basic thing. And I put it near my heart because that is where they will always be,” Miley explained at the time.
