It was a very emotional time earlier this week for Miley Cyrus who announced on Twitter that one of her beloved dogs, Floyd, had suddenly passed away due to unknown causes. She proclaimed on social media that it was the second worst day in her life and made it obvious that she felt the loss deeply.

Yesterday, on April 4, Cyrus seemed to be faring much better after she posted a photo of a brand new dog, a puppy called Moonie, who was seen as a direct replacement for the dead Floyd. She tweeted, “My mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses.”

She gave a few more details as to her current state by saying “No one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lendin me some fur to cry on along with my other babies. Can't wait to introduce Bean and Happy to Moonie. Currently soakin up some Moonie & Mary Jane... so many emotions I am exhausted.”

It looks like Miley decided that the best way to get over her grief was to smoke a blunt, but it didn't take long before the sadness of losing her dog crept back in and she posted a series of seemingly desperate tweets like “I wanna sleep but all I can do is cry. I never wanna go home to a house where Floyd isnt running & playing. how do I get thru this (sic).”

Proof that Miley was really hurt by Floyd's passing is also the fact that she suddenly burst into tears on stage during her latest show in Boston, while performing a song to honor her dead pooch.

It was later revealed by a backup dancer from the “Bangerz” tour that Floyd died after he was attacked by a coyote. The dancer revealed the information with a comment to a photo she uploaded on Instagram which read “A team sticks together during hard times... Thank you Smilers for lifting @mileycyrus up tonight!!! The energy in the arena was indescribable... #ripfloyd #bangerztour #boston.”

This isn't the first time Miley has been so affected by the loss of a pet. She previously lost another dog and it's believed that her reference to the “second worst day” of her life when talking about Floyd's passing is connected to that, and that the worst day of her life was when her dog Lila passed away in 2012.
