14 DAY TRIAL // Miley Cyrus has no immediate plans of tying the knot with her longtime beau Liam Hemsworth. Following intense media speculation about a possible engagement, Miley has tweeted a denial to set the record straight.
Yesterday, rumor picked up that Miley and Liam had become engaged sometime recently. It all started from a photo the star uploaded on her official Twitter page.
It was of Miley's hand and it was meant to show her followers her new nail polish, as we also reported at the time.
Because she was also wearing a ring that resembled a diamond engagement ring, many assumed she was actually announcing the happy news in very little words.
As it turns out, she wasn't.
“I'm not engaged,” Miley tweets, putting the rumors to rest before they get completely blown out of proportion.
As she sees it, people came up with this “story” because they want to have something to talk / gossip about.
“I've worn this same ring on this finger since November! People just wanna find something to talk about! It's a topaz people!” the singer and actress adds.
If one is to believe reports online, Miley is really serious about Liam and, even if she's not engaged yet, she's definitely thinking about tying the knot with him sometime soon.
Several US tabs claim that Miley is afraid she might lose Liam now that he's the hottest thing in Tinseltown thanks to “The Hunger Games,” which has become the third biggest opening ever in the US.
Not only does she want to be married to him ASAP, but she's also thinking of starting a family, having his baby soon, unnamed “spies” claim.
Granted, all of this is probably – most likely – an exaggeration, but if it confirms one thing, it's that Miley and Liam make a cute couple, are very much in love, and are very interesting for the tabs and the readers at home.
