“Back by popular demand” could be another subtitle for this article, because it seems Miley Cyrus has a lot of thanking to do to her fans but also to the “haters” that have been making viral videos about her hit song “Wrecking Ball.”

Billboard has just announced that Miley's song is back on the top position thanks to “renewed viral activity,” pushing down to the second spot Lorde's “Royals” after nine weeks in first place. This viral activity could be related to the now-infamous parody of Stephen Kardynal.

The “Wrecking Ball - Chatroulette version” consists of a video montage that presents a bearded and shaggy-haired Stephen swinging around on a medical ball either in the nude or in a white tank top, similar to Miley's performance in the video, getting frisky with a sledge hammer, as well as capturing the reactions of various chat partners, be they amused, disgusted or simply jaw-droppingly stunned.

This particular clip went viral, earning more than 8.6 million views in a day, not to mention starting a virtual tidal wave of imitators and followers. Looks like in trying to poke fun at the pop star, Stephen actually managed to make her even more famous - granted, while offering a good number of people a hearty laugh.

There is also another Miley parody, a mash-up of “Wrecking Ball” and the popular film “The Hunger Games” called “Reaping Ball,” which has also garnered some attention from fans and went viral. This version retains the original music, but replaces the lyrics to tell the story in the Hunger Games and was created by “The Arena.”

After news came out that she might be declared Time Magazine's Person of the Year in 2013, it looks like the mischievous Miley Cyrus could also be topping the charts with her music, making her domination of the entertainment industry complete.
