14 DAY TRIAL // It pays to be a Miley Cyrus fan, simply because when it comes to meet and greets, the singer blows the competition out of the water. She is willing to give you much more bang for your buck than any other performer out there today, and for a measly $900 (€672) she'd even let you touch her woman bits.
NY Daily News reports that Miley held true to her reputation of doing just about anything for her fans, when she let a fan grope her chest in a photo staged during a meet and greet. The whole thing took place after her Bangerz concert at the Nassau Colliseum in Uniondale.
The fan, who has only been identified as David, asked the pop singer to be his “first and last kiss with a girl.” Miley wasn't about to say no to one of her fans who had just shelled out $900 (€672) for a chance to meet her face to face, and she agreed to take a photo in which she seems to be frenching David.
Her signature tongue wag pose is there and it's kind of hard to watch the fan's tongue hovering so close to Miley's, but she doesn't seem to mind. On the contrary, she seems to be enjoying herself immensely.
While all you parents out there are shocked by this worrying development and are probably canceling your kids' meet and greet as we speak, it's worth mentioning that not all musicians get so personal during their meetings with fans.
The exact opposite of what Miley just did is Avril Lavigne who explicitly tells her fans not to touch her during meet and greets. Her photos from such meetings are awkward and show Avril standing at a fair distance from the fan, as if she's afraid of contracting cooties.
Britney Spears does one even better: fans who pay in excess of one thousand bucks are told that not only they are not allowed to touch the singer, but they aren't also allowed to talk to her unless she talks to them first.
So basically, you're paying a lot for money for a photo someone could have photoshopped for you at home for the price of a beer or even less. If it's a family member, you could get the same photo for just a pat on the back and a “thank you.”
Luckily for fans today, there are singers like Miley, who literally give their all to their fans. Another singer that shares similar liberal behavior around her fans is Rihanna, who also allowed herself to be groped during one such meet and greet.
Admittedly, in Rihanna's case it was a woman doing the fondling, and Rihanna then jokingly grabbed her breasts in return, so it wasn't perverted, it was just in good fun. In Miley's case, the look on the boy's face as he's cupping her chest pretty much says it all.
