The other night in Hollywood, at the premiere of “The Book of Eli,” Mila Kunis showed that she is on the path to becoming a style icon as well, as JustJared can confirm.
Usually, they say, all-black getups are either too severe or too boring, especially if the women wearing them don’t think of accessorizing with something very colorful, like a bright handbag or an oversized necklace in a daring color. For Mila Kunis, though, these rule don’t seem to apply since she has that perfectly shaped face, with the piercing eyes and the gorgeous mouth, which allows her to pull an all-black outfit.
As fashion critics note, few other women in showbiz can do that without coming across as very boring, one of them being Angelina Jolie herself. The point is that, the other night, at the premiere of her most recent film, Kunis dazzled in an outfit that would have seemed plain on another. Decked in a one-shoulder gown by Vera Wang and Casadei black suede platforms, matched with simple rings, her hair pulled back in a sophisticated pony tail, and minimal makeup, the actress was the very picture of elegance and glass.
Which is just perfect for her, as long as the industry also takes heed of her acting endeavors and doesn’t focus too much on her looks. Speaking a while back with BlackBook magazine, Kunis shunned labeling, saying she wanted to be more than just a pretty face and certainly more than just Culkin’s girlfriend. Her biggest dream was to make a name for herself in the movie industry and the first step towards that had already been taken, in that she was no longer ashamed to admit what she did for a living, as she was when she first started off.
“I didn’t come to L.A. to become a famous actress. I lived in LA and I was an actress, and it was just like, Who am I? I loved what I did, but I didn’t like the judgment that came with it. It took me until I was 21 to realize that this is what I was going to do. I finally decided I’m not going to be embarrassed to write ‘actress’ on my medical forms,” Mila was saying, as we also informed you at the time.
