Mike Tyson and wife Lakiha Spicer surprised family and friends in Las Vegas with a wedding ceremony that saw them renew their vows, 2 years after they were married. The ceremony was followed by a party.

The two were initially married – also in Vegas – ten days after Mike’s 4-year-old daughter died in hospital from injuries sustained in a freak home accident.

They told no one about it beforehand. Because of this, the couple didn’t invite anyone to the ceremony and it was not followed by a party.

Mike and Lakiha certainly made it up to relatives and friends the other day, surprising them with the wedding ceremony, TMZ reports.

“Tyson and his wife Lakiha invited hundreds of friends to a joint birthday party they threw for each other at the M Resort, but the b-day party was merely a cover for a secret vow renewal,” the e-zine writes.

After they made sure all the guests had arrived to the party, the two went AWOL for a short while, only to appear in front of everybody from behind a curtain – in full wedding apparel.

“With the crowd completely surprised, the couple proceeded to renew their vows in a traditional Muslim ceremony,” TMZ says.

“We’re told the two decided to do the big ‘wedding’ party this time around because they skipped out on a celebration when they were secretly married at a small Vegas chapel back in 2009,” the publication further notes.

It also says that guests had a wonderful time. They were offered a choice of chicken entrée or steak, and danced the night away to the music played by a live band.

Lakiha is Mike’s third wife and, from what he’s saying, his last one. Speaking with Oprah last year, the former boxing champ said he was “destitute and broke” and definitely undeserving of having such a wonderful family, but, undoubtedly, also the happiest man on earth.
