Mike Tyson would never send death threats to anyone, despite what some might say on social media. After Bravo chef Roble Ali posted on his Instagram messages he claimed to have received from the former boxing champ, Tyson has issued a denial.

It all started with the now-famous photo of Tyson holding two pigeons, which Ali re-posted on his Instagram with the caption “Now kith,” mocking the boxer’s lisp, Page Six reports.

Afterwards, Ali posted more messages that he actually wrote himself, claiming to be from Tyson, in which he more or less threatened to beat the living daylights out of him.

“How you do there Mr. funny man? You think that [expletive]’s funny making fun of my speech impediment? You know we always been cool when I see you in Brooklyn right? Well that [expletive] is over,” Ali wrote, pretending to be Tyson.

“I don’t know if you’re old enough to remember that game ‘Mike Tyson’s Punch Out’ but either way I’m gonna [expletive] you up when I see you like I did that little white boy in the game. You hear me you ostrich looking skinny cheffin’ punk? Laugh now, cry later,” he added.

In yet another message, Ali posing as Tyson pretended the two were actually friends, with “Tyson” scolding the chef for not picking up the phone.

“Anyways I want you and your crew to come out to Vegas soon and cater a party for me at the crib. Also, you’re a [expletive] for not picking up the phone but I would do the same thing if I were you. Peace my dude,” he wrote.

Perhaps even more surprising is that Ali responded, saying he’d gladly cater for Tyson and his people whenever he wanted him to. He would not dare to refuse him, considering he was Mike Tyson, he added.

This in itself could be an indication that he only pulled this stunt on social media for the free publicity, which he’s totally getting right now, albeit at the cost of his credibility / reputation.

“Mike has never heard of this chef nor would he write anything like this,” Tyson’s publicist says in a brief statement.
