The Miiverse just got updated today, bringing Wii U and Nintendo 3DS users enhanced functionality, especially if not being the streamlined "Follow" process.

Users can now follow or unfollow fellow gamers directly from the Followers page, opening up their profiles no longer being required in order to perform the operation.

Furthermore, when posting in an area that disallows the posting of screenshots, an icon with an X will be displayed as an indicator, instead of simply not displaying the image, as the action did before.

The changes are in effect for all versions of the Miiverse, and another feature has been added exclusively for the Wii U version, an icon that allows playing posted videos in high quality, should there be an HQ version available.

The official Miiverse update announcement is also available in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch and Russian.
