The spiritual successor to Mega Man, Mighty No. 9, created by the same famed designer Keiji Inafune, has just received its release window of spring 2015.

Developer Comcept has also revealed a brand new gameplay video from the action platforming game, showing off some of its stages and fast-paced gameplay, along with the first ever glimpse at boss fights.

The video shows the stages of No. 2 and No. 5, also offering a look at each of the two stages’ boss fight. For more footage from the upcoming platformer, make sure to follow Comcept’s YouTube channel, regularly updated with fresh content.

The game was another of Kickstarter’s success stories, raising far beyond its ambitious goal, and although it’s still going to be a while until its backers will be able to assume control of Beck (the game’s protagonist) and engage in dashing, shooting and jumping across its levels, it’s nice to see that the game is starting to shape up.

The video also reveals that Mighty No. 9 is currently scheduled to come out during the spring of 2015, for Windows PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U platforms.
