Video game developer Blue Byte and publisher Ubisoft announce that they are officially launching Might & Magic Heroes Online to the public, allowing them to choose their favorite faction and hero and then try to take out monsters and discover treasure that allows them to upgrade their holdings.

The official announcement says, “Features like siege battles, forgotten site quests and the PvP arena were all added during the game’s limited beta earlier this year and are now fully integrated into the game for your enjoyment.”

The developers are also saying that the classic gameplay of the Might & Magic franchise is part of the new experience and that the online nature of the title gives gamers a chance to also test out guilds and cooperative play.

All those who sign up via the official company link will get access to a starter pack for Heroes Online which gives them access to: a Refined Shard of the Explorer, +80% speed for 24 hours, a Refined Shard of the Mage, +30% XP for 24 hours, and one Minor Mana Potion that can restore up to 80 points of magic.

Might & Magic Heroes Online is entirely free, but the other similar titles from Ubisoft feature strong incentives for gamers to spend real world money in order to be able to easily complete quests and progress their characters.
