Midori, a lightweight web browser that features full integration with GTK+ and fast rendering with WebKit, is now at version 0.5.0.

The new and improved Midori 0.5.0 is the first version to provide support for WebKit2. It also comes with improved loading times and better extension loading.

“There’s more treats to be found, such as completely configurable Mouse Gestures, waiting for a GUI to be added, maybe a good starting point for a new contributor. And History List finally supports ColorFul Tabs fully,” stated the developer in the official announcement.

Highlights of Midori 0.5.0:

• The Toolbar Style preference is now shown unconditionally;
• The 'Flash windows' option has been moved into the History List;
• The 'Run in debugger' button has been implemented in the diagnostic dialog;
• Colorful Tabs are now supported in the History List.

A complete changelog with all the fixes and new features can be found in the announcement.
