GameTap is also making the new game available for immediate play to its subscribers, day and date with the retail release. In addition to the hundreds of PC and catalog titles offered for sale at GameTap's new digital retail storefront, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be available for digital purchase starting at 12:01 AM on June 5th for just $29.99. That doesn't mean that those who choose GameTap for the purchase will get a glimpse at the game earlier. This is the exact date and time it hits retailers as well.
But GameTap has yet another addition to make and this one is an exclusive: GameTap will be the first to introduce the new Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary trailer and this is what GameTap purchasers will get a glimpse at ahead of everyone else. Let's hope it's somewhat better than the last. Not that it wasn't good but I'd like to see Lara's hips and clips with finer textures. Maybe leave out the gameplay engine...?
