Middlesbrough officials have every right to be angry at Chelsea and Liverpool at the same time. And that's because of the latest BBC disclosure, concerning agents' illegal approach to footballers that were still under contract. And the man they should all be angry at is Peter Harrison. And here's why.

Harrison's client, Nathan Porritt, is a 15-year old young English player under contract with Middlesbrough. Still - without telling a word to the Riverside officials - Harrison contacted Liverpool and Chelsea in order to "give" them Porritt.
Boro's luck was that the young player refused to play anywhere else and chose to stay with the reds.

According to the BBC footage - with an undercover camera - Chelsea's head of development and scouting, Frank Arnesen, was caught offering Porritt a 220.000 euros deal to sign for the Blues. And Middlesbrough chief executive Keith Lamb is now fuming because of it.
"We are hugely disappointed with the actions of Peter Harrison. Clearly Peter has a lot to answer for to the game's authorities and this football club. It was quite clear from the footage shown on the program that he approached other Premier League clubs to offer Nathan Porritt to them", said Lamb, according to BBC News.

He added: "Despite the fact that his agent was blatantly touting him around other clubs, Nathan then signed for our Academy and we are delighted to have him on board. He is a local boy, who has always wanted to play for Middlesbrough. Nathan and his family understood that Middlesbrough was the best place for him to fulfill his obvious potential".

Chelsea is not at its first such maneuver. The Stanford Bridge club tried to tap-off Ashley Cole from Arsenal in the summer of 2005, but Jose Mourinho was caught by the FA officials talking to an under-contract player and received a fine. Also, Chelsea is being investigated on pulling the same stunt a few months ago, when signing 2 of Leeds United most impressive young stars, Tom Taiwo and Michael Wood, without consulting with the 2nd Division club.

Both Chelsea and Liverpool are still to make a statement concerning the latest accusation launched through the "BBC Panorama" scandal.
