14 DAY TRIAL // Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions just revealed screenshots and concept art for their recently-announced project, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.
The game is set to deliver a dark story of retribution where players take the role of Talion, a ranger who loses everything the night Sauron returns to Mordor only to be revived by a vengeful spirit.
As the events unfold, players will explore the origin of the Rings of Power, uncover the mystery of the Spirit that compels Talion and ultimately confront his nemesis.
Chronologically, the action is set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series, the plot's igniting spark being the return of Sauron to Mordor.
Having been returned from the dead, players will be able to command Wraith Powers in order to orchestrate their plan and infiltrate the ranks of the enemy.
The game also promises to introduce a powerful next-gen gameplay mechanic that allows players' action to shape enemy relationships and characteristics and thus create a personal and unique story and persistent gameplay arcs.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
